Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Position Overview

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports the clinical team by delivering exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort and safety, maintaining infection control standards, and providing education to patients and parents. This role is essential to creating a smooth, calm, and positive experience for pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
  • Review patient charts and prepare treatment rooms and trays
  • Seat and prepare patients for treatment
  • Assist the doctor during all procedures
  • Take radiographs as prescribed
  • Dismiss patients and communicate visit details to parents/caregivers
  • Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
Pediatric-Specific Care
  • Use age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance techniques
  • Comfort anxious or fearful children
  • Ensure patient safety at all times in the operatory
  • Support special needs patients as directed
  • Coronal polishing (preferred, not required)
  • Sealant placement (preferred, not required)
  • Infection Control & Sterilization
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and state dental board guidelines
  • Perform sterilization of instruments and handpieces
  • Clean and reset treatment rooms after use
  • Clinical Support & Office Duties
  • Stock and organize treatment rooms
  • Pour and trim dental models
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and monitoring
  • Order and track dental supplies
  • Assist other team members as needed
Practice Representation
  • Promote a positive, welcoming environment for patients and families
  • Encourage families to refer new patients
  • Represent the practice professionally both in and outside the office

Administrative Assistant
Position Overview

An Administrative Assistant is passionate about creating a welcoming, organized, and positive experience for every patient and parent. This role is the heart of our front office – managing communications, coordinating schedules, supporting daily operations, and ensuring each visit runs smoothly from check-in to follow-up. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, bilingual (Spanish/English), and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where making families feel comfortable and cared for is the top priority.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Management

  • Answer phone (Not to exceed three rings)
  • Checking messages, return calls
  • Check email, return messages/requests
  • Enter NP info for registration

Check In 

  • Greet patient/parent upon arrival
  • Update personal and insurance information as needed
  • Inform clinical team of patient’s arrival
  • Ensure waiting area is neat 
  • Get mail and distribute
  • Complete records release requests
  • Verify NP insurance as soon as scheduled.
  • Print next day’s routing slips, highlighting medical alerts and past due balances
  • Check schedule, call patients who have cancelled or have unconfirmed appointments
  • Maintain referral list on computer
  • Send out new patient thank-you’s and referral letters to referring providers.
  • Collect past-due balances at check-in

Treatment Tracking of Recare

  • Make the recare phone calls and keep the overdue recare report current
  • Maintain Patient Communication Software updated; if phone number, address or email have changed, make note in dental software to gather corrected information from parent when they call or come in for a visit.

General Duties

  • Back up check out, Sedation Coordinator and End of Day/Closing
  • Enter payments made over the phone
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Fill openings in the schedule
